Small Goddess Afghan

Small Goddess Afghan

Measures approximately 22 inches by 27 inches, row by row count
Materials needed:
I used Simply Soft by Caron
Main Color of yarn approximately 20 oz of yarn – MC is referred to as W= off white
Second color Approximately 8 oz of yarn- referred to as A= Autumn Red
Size H afghan hook
(this is the pattern for the one that I lost in the computer muck up. I had already done the graph, row count and crocheted it. However the graph was lost so I then recreated it again that one follows this one as the next pattern with graph intact.)
Directions:
Chain 102, you will be crocheting this in afghan stitch.
Rows
1: The easiest way I found is to use the back loop that runs along bottom of chain. This gives a nice finish to the piece. Skip the first two loops. You are going to draw up loops onto the hook leaving them on until the last loop is on the hook. You then will yarn over and pull through the first loop only. Yarn over again and pull through the next two loops, repeat this to the end leaving one loop on the hook. If this isn’t clear you can go to http://www.chezcrochet.com/ for more info or for videos on how to do it, go to http://www.nexstitch.com/ . This completes the first row. It is done in W only.

Bind off. To do this you will draw up a loop through the bar and continue through both loops, repeating across to the end, ending with a slip stitch to tie it off. Weave in threads.

Hint: I found that if you carry more than two stitches you wind up with a loop on the back of the piece. To avoid this you can weave it in as you crochet. When you are taking on the loops for the forward run, take the second thread and go under it (this is the one you are carrying) then the next stitch go over the top of it, (basically between the carried thread and the thread you are drawing up). It produces a weave in and out of your piece. You can then cut the threads as needed.
Since I don’t have the graph any longer and it is going to be too time consuming to reduplicate, the row count is all that is available.
